Waterproofing Concepts Ltd used Sika injection resins to stop water flowing from a substantial crack in a below ground basement car park.

Charles Luney House was one of many buildings damaged during the September 2010 Darfield earthquake. Cracks appeared in the basement carpark and water was forced in under hydrostatic pressure, including one substantial crack where the water was flooding across the floor.

Because there was a constant water flow, Sika® Injection-101-RC (a low viscosity, fast foaming and solvent-free waterreactive polyurethane injection foam resin) was used as a temporary water-stop. This then allowed the subsequent installation of Sika® Injection-201-CE to create a permanent watertight seal with some flexibility to absorb limited movement.
