Managing Director James Kirkpatrick was born and raised in Christchurch and has been involved in the roofing and specialist construction products industry for 28 years.

During that time he has liased with the country’s leading residential commercial and civil construction company’s providing both technical and costing advice. James is passionate about the industry and ensuring that Waterproofing Concepts Ltd is the market leader in our field.

James is a licenced building practitioner and has been involved in industry training both in Europe and New Zealand.

When not at work James enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen golfer and outdoors enthusiast, particularly enjoying fly fishing and hunting.

Brendon is a married father of one. He has spent the last 14 years within the building industry and in construction related roles. Brendon values the importance of communication and planning in relation to providing clients with the service and efficiency they expect.

Brendon has extensive experience in Key Account Management and brings these skills to Waterproofing Concepts Ltd.

When relaxing he enjoys renovating, spending time touring around New Zealand with his family and supporting any sports team as long as they are wearing black.

Ollie joined the Waterproofing Concepts team in 2015 whilst completing a BA/BCom at the University of Canterbury. He has now made the jump to a full time role in the operations side of the business, overseeing the Quality Assurance and ensuring all of our projects are completed to the highest standard.

Ollie has a background in swimming, swim coaching and is also an elite cyclist.

Originally from Brooklyn New York, Malik has lived in Christchurch since 2002. He has been selling paints, coating, wood finishes and construction products for over 20 years, including 15 years in a family owned business. Over his time in the industry, Malik has developed an interest in providing customers with solutions for and trouble-shooting projects and investigating new construction technologies.

In his free time he enjoys his family, pets, the great outdoors, watching Football (Gridiron) and when there’s time refinishing furniture.

Dan has been in the building and construction industry since 2007. He prides himself on being thorough and providing the most comprehensive quotes for Waterproofing Concepts customers. He is always researching new techniques and products within the industry to make sure Waterproofing Concepts is at the leading edge in the market place. His interests outside of work are spending time with his wife and 2 young daughters, competing in endurance/multisport events, racing karts and watching sport in general.

Tim is a qualified Quantity Surveyor & brings a lot of experience from being in the building and construction industry for the last 20 years and in particular working as a QS for a couple of the leading main contractors in the Christchurch construction market. He is a meticulous person who provides highly accurate quotes for our customers.

He loves spending time relaxing with family and friends and is married with two young boys. He loves to watch and support all sports especially triathlon which he has competed at a world and national level, he also loves to play and coach cricket.

Pete jointed WPCL in 2011. His background include sales and esimtating to the building trade for the last 35/40 years specialising in roofing. He has always been a customer focused person who enjoys dealing with a diverse range of people from within the industry. On a personal note he is married to Linda with 3 married sons, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His interests outside of work are family, gardening and watching most sports.

Lynley, or Marge as she’s known by the rest of the staff, has been with WPCL since 2011. She is widely regarded as the glue that holds the place together. Lynley is PA to James. She processes quotes, creditors and debtors, and carries out much of the business’ administrative duties, not to mention supplying the entire office with mediocre banter and delicious weekly home baked treats.

Pip joined the WPCL team in 2014. She has over 15 years’ experience in Office Administration within the Building & Fashion Industry. You’ll find her in our office primarily taking care of payroll, retentions, invoicing, back costings & submitting quotes.

When she’s not busy taking care of her family, Pip enjoys music, travelling and sports.
